“We had a great stay just like last time. The lodge is well equipped and we were very comfortable”. Black family, August 2015.
“We had wonderful sunny days in Kent and we all will return one day. We miss the ocean, the gulls, fish&chips and the cider. The beachside was really very exciting. Vaccum cleaner is a bit weak (indoor broom & steam mop provided), Opening hours of swimming pool were too short we felt. Too much information provided for the guest in Welcome Pack – takes too long to look for what you might need. Well equipped kitchen, modern shower, safe windows and doors, liked that Pebbles is non smoking and no pets are allowed” Braun family, Aug/Sept 2014.
“Liked the extra touches in the lodge, including games, welcome pack and the comfy beds”. Bond family, August 2014.
“Very much enjoyed our time there, and would consider booking again, both sets of parents live in Deal and the location was perfect.” Greenup family, July 2014
“The shower had a problem at first, however this was quickly sorted. The maintenance person informed us it was due to low pressure with so many on site all wanting a shower at the same time! We didn’t have any further problems. We liked the extra space Pebbles has due to the extension which other lodges do not have. Jo has been very helpful, efficient and understanding, making our stay at Pebbles, one that we would like to repeat.” Miller family, July 2014
“Missed the on site shop that used to be there. Main living area was spacious and light. Nice to be able to fully open bedroom windows at night, it seems not all lodges have that facility. Very peaceful location, enjoyed looking out for the fox.” Duncan, July 2014
“The Welcome Pack was a pleasant surprise. The kids liked the unusual shape of the lodge and the easy access to the outside.” Cunningham family, June 2014
“We had a great time and still have lots more to do, so would like to come back. The location and layout of the place was perfect for us!” B. Hale, May 2014
“Just thought I’d let you know we have just got back from a wonderful weeks holiday at your Pebbles lodge. It was a lovely lodge in a brilliant park. My 4 year old was quite upset to leave!! He wanted it to be our new house ? “
“Jo, you have been wonderful, good communication, friendly and welcoming. Very professional and I look forward to the next time we speak” Mr. P, Kent.
“We had a brilliant time with the family, many thanks”. D. Sones, Bicester
“The lodge was really nice, great to have all those channels on the tv for any bad
weather and a nice touch with the games. All clean and tidy and plenty of
stuff in the kitchen. Our son loved the sports car cards so we had to keep
playing them!” Mrs C, Worcester
“Everything we needed for a great holiday was there in the lodge, many thanks”. Mr Claes, Belgium
“We have never holidayed in a chalet before and were a little apprehensive but we needn’t have worried, the accommodation was very comfortable and the facilities excellent.
Every effort had been made to ensure our stay went without a hitch. The owner of the chalet was very helpful throughout the booking process and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had been newly renovated to a high standard with some nice little touches.
Staff onsite were very friendly and helpful. There is lots to see and do in the area and the scenery is stunning.
We had a fantastic stay at Pebbles Seaside Lodge and have already recommended it to friends.” Georgia S, June 2013
“Just returned from our stay on Kingsdown Holiday Park, staying at Lodge 60 (also known as Pebbles). Most of the chalets are privately owned so the interiors and standards vary quite a lot between them. Almost nothing to fault with this one though!
On arrival, we were pleased how clean everything was. We dealt directly with the owner who lives in Worcester but she’s arranged for cleaning and change-over etc with a local cleaning company. This was actually something we were particularly concerned about prior to booking. When you book with a large company, you feel as though you can trust them and expect certain standards; it is a bit riskier when dealing with a private person. We needn’t have worried though because everything was fine (and we’d also checked out testimonials from other guests from the owner’s own website….. apparently JDR Leisure has won several tourism awards).
The chalet itself was of a good standard, with comfy sofa’s and a really nice king-size bed in the main bedroom. We checked out the owner’s website before we booked and so were quite impressed with their new bathroom…. on the small size but great shower. The kitchen units are a little dated but it had everything we needed and all in good order. Nice Denby plates by the way!! We accidentally broke one of the glasses in the kitchen and were a bit concerned because we’d paid a security deposit. No worries – we called the owner on the contact number we had but she said not to worry as they only hold back money when there is significant damage caused.
Because of the position of the chalet and the site itself, the TV reception was sometimes not so good. But at least the owners had gone to the trouble of providing a modern big plasma TV, unlike some places we’ve been to where you only get an old portable set. And they had a PlayStation 2 and other games for the kids (nice touch).
The site itself is great too. Not a fantastic selection of food at the lounge/bar but tasty and reasonably priced. It was great having the heated swimming pool on hand too…. particularly when the British weather does its worst and it doesn’t stop raining! Overall, a good holiday park and lovely chalet. Would definitely stay again.”
