JDR Leisure commits to maintaining a balance between supporting the local area in which we live, the environment and still providing our guests with highest quality self catering breaks as possible.
 
To this end we invite all our guests to adhere to the following:
 
  • Use the recycling facilities provided to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
  • Please do not leave taps running
  • Uneccesary flowing water wastes approx 9l a minute when cleaning teeth etc
  • Please don't turn up the heating and leave the windows open
  • When you go out, turn the heating down, close windows and switch off lights
  • Use the clothes airer rather than the tumbler drier
  • Buy products without packaging where possible
  • Please do not drop litter and respect the Country Code
  • Buy local food and use local services whilst in Worcester
  • Use the cotton "Visit Worcester" bags in the kitchen drawer for shopping.
  • Do not leave electrical items on standby where practical, eg tv, mobile phone charger.
  • Wheelie bins can be found in the bin store to right of main entrance door.
  • Non emptied bins are not acceptable and will result in an extra cleaning charge.

 

JDR Leisure:

 

  • Provides thermostatically guest-controlled heating
  • Provides a shower as well as a bath
  • Uses quality refillable pump dispensers for liquid soap to reduce excess plastic waste
  • Fits low energy light bulbs where practical
  • Has lined curtains to reduce drafts/heat loss
  • Purchases 'A' rated electrical appliances
  • Turns off electrical items between guest visits.
  • Uses cotton bags for shopping and refuses to buy plastic bags from shops
  • Re-uses non confidential paper and envelopes where possible and saves stamps for local charities
  •  
    Gives used ink cartridges to charity
  • Recycles all items that can be recycled including: cans, plastics, glass, paper and card.
  • Uses our local hospice to donate fabrics and unwanted clothes
  • Is committed to shopping at local farm shops.
  • Buys in bulk  to reduce excess packaging
  • Uses Eco cloths for cleaning and provides environmentally friendly cleaning materials.
  • Will encourage you to use your legs and public transport by providing maps, local farmers markets, pubs, restaurants bus and train timetables.
  • Will provide Eco friendly washing powder
